A healthy and hygienic country is a rich and wealthy country. Sewa Jyoti actively looks out for the underprivileged community and provides them with required healthcare treatments and amenities to improve their physical and mental conditions. In the past 16 years, we have initiated many health camps, contributed to surgeries, and developed awareness programs to make vulnerable and needy people understand the importance of healthcare and at the same time, deliver free treatments.
Find below the list of contributions we have made in rural health development.
As we understand the importance of vision, Sewja Jyoti has proactively led many eye check-up camps across several villages, with free vision testing, cataract testing, general consultation, and cataract correction. As of date, 99 camps have been organized, 13, 499 patients have been tested and prescribed medications and 2156 cataract surgeries have been performed.
The Super, Multi-faceted camps organized by Sewa Jyoti in partnership with few prominent organizations aim to offer superior quality healthcare treatments using Mobile Health Units to the rural community, right in front of their homes. We have successfully treated 8750 patients through 35 comprehensive camps. Our prominent supporters include Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Global Health Care, Jaipur, CK Birla Hospital, Jaipur, Narayana Multi-Specialty Hospital, Jaipur, and Mahaveer Cancer Hospital, Jaipur.
Prevention is always better than cure. A healthy atmosphere and strict routines can save many lives. With that thought in mind, we started organizing different preventive healthcare awareness programs and camps for rural women, children, nursing mothers, pregnant women, couples, and teenage girls. The programs aim at making the rural community hygienic, healthy, and capable of taking care of their health without negligence. We have covered 3000 families and 25 schools as of today.
Our preventive camps and workshops focus on common, yet important topics like breastfeeding, sanitation, use of sanitary napkins, family planning, hand wash, immunization and vaccination, and healthy pregnancy.
